For this project, I designed a seasonal lookbook for a local retail store offering discount cards to members. The lookbook incorporated three well-known brands—Adidas, Urban Outfitters, and Journeys—and aimed to promote their latest trends and exclusive offers to store cardholders. The design focused on creating a cohesive catalog that balanced the distinct identities of each brand while presenting the products in a visually compelling way. My goal was to drive sales and increase store visits, showcasing new styles while offering clear, enticing calls to action for cardholders.
The Challenge
The client needed a lookbook that integrated three distinct clothing brands into one cohesive design. Each brand had its own established visual identity, and the challenge was to merge these elements without losing the individual essence of each brand. The final design had to be visually appealing, easy to navigate, and effective in driving engagement, while providing clear product descriptions, prices, and exclusive member offers.
Design Goals
- Multi-Brand Integration: Combine three distinct brands (Adidas, Urban Outfitters, Journeys) into a cohesive design without losing brand individuality.
- User-Focused Layout: Make the catalog easy to navigate for readers, with clear product details and a logical flow from page to page.
- Appeal to Discount Card Members: Include exclusive member offers, promotions, and discount codes to incentivize store visits and purchases.
- Seasonal Relevance: Showcase the latest trends for the upcoming season while reflecting each brand’s style and identity.
Design Process
- Research and Concept Development
I started by researching each brand’s style guide, visual identity, and current marketing materials to understand how to integrate their distinct looks cohesively. I also looked at other seasonal lookbooks to gather ideas for layout and presentation. - Wireframing and Layout
I created wireframes to organize the content logically and plan for a balanced distribution of images, text, and promotional offers. The layout had to ensure ease of reading, with consistent use of typography, spacing, and image alignment. - Brand Identity Integration
Each brand was given its own section, but I used a consistent color palette and typography to tie the lookbook together. For example, I used bold typography for GUESS to match its fashion-forward image, clean lines for GAP to reflect its classic appeal, and vibrant colors for Sport Check to highlight its activewear. - Mockups and Final Design
Once the layout and design were finalized, I created mockups to showcase how the lookbook would appear both in print and as part of in-store marketing. The final design featured high-quality product images, clear pricing, and prominent calls to action.
Final Deliverables:
- 16-page Lookbook featuring the latest trends from Adidas, Urban Outfitters and Journeys
- Product Descriptions and Prices clearly laid out on each page, accompanied by discount codes and offers for card members.
- Mockups of the lookbook design for print and digital presentation, demonstrating how the catalog would look in stores and online.
- Interactive PDF Version of the lookbook to be shared digitally with members.
